Volunteers help ensure patients receive better care at Ascension.
Volunteers donate their time and talents to help provide quality care to patients and families. Last year, volunteers gave more than 100,000 hours of service to Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton and Ascension Calumet Hospital in Chilton.
Benefits of Volunteering
Whether you want to learn about health care careers or simply share your free time in a positive way, volunteering at Ascension lets you help patients, visitors and staff. Volunteering can have health benefits for you, too—studies show that volunteers feel good physically and emotionally when they help others.
We depend on help from volunteers in many areas. Assignments include working the reception desk, assisting with computer and clerical tasks, transporting wheelchair patients and providing support to patients and families. Volunteers may also participate in fundraising for Ascension programs and services. We try to find you a volunteer assignment to match your individual interest and talents.
