Oncology Rehab

Oncology Rehab is a comprehensive interdisciplinary program including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. St. Elizabeth Hospital has a team of specialty trained therapists who work collaboratively with the rest of your oncology medical care team. We offer both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation services for adults and children at St. Elizabeth Hospital and multiple rehab locations throughout the Fox Valley.

Patients with cancer can benefit from rehab before, during, and after their cancer treatments. The focus of rehab is to help patient’s improve their daily functioning and quality of life.

Therapy can help address:

  • pain/neuropathy (tingling, numbness, pain, or weakness due to nerve damage)
  • weakness/decreased strength
  • cancer related fatigue
  • balance and walking problems
  • memory/concentration issues
  • swallowing/speech problems
  • swelling/ lymphedema prevention, education, and management/treatment
  • scar tissue adhesions
  • radiation fibrosis
  • difficulty with dressing, grooming, or bathing
