We welcome all patients interested in learning more about holistic approaches to healing. Patients with chronic medical problems who do not respond well to conventional medicine often benefit from this approach. Dr. Norden and Kimbrough combine general internal medicine with complementary therapies such as herbals and supplements, meditation, massage and yoga to provide individual treatment plans for each patient. We most often see:
people who want recommendations for disease prevention, wellness or life enhancement
people who have chronic conditions such as pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, high cholesterol, irritable bowel syndrome, heart disease, cancer or rheumatic diseases.
Affinity’s Integrative Medicine experts conduct a comprehensive assessment to determine how physical, emotional and spiritual factors influence your health and wellness. Your Integrative Medicine physician will also review your medical history during the initial visit, which usually lasts 60 to 90 minutes. Your treatment plan may include general internal medicine recommendations, lifestyle changes, nutrition advice, herbal and supplement advice and other appropriate therapies. The integrative medicine physicians are not primary care physicians, but will work in collaboration with your doctor to help optimize your health.
