Venous Vascular Diseases

Veins are the blood vessels that carry blood from the body back toward the heart and lungs in order to pick up oxygen from the lungs. One-way valves keep the blood flow going in the right direction.  When venous vascular disease is present, the normal flow of blood is interrupted.  This can happen due to valves that malfunction or by blood clots that obstruct the flow.
