Wound Care

Our wound clinic helps you heal.

Wounds need special care.

A wound that won’t heal leads to discomfort, limited mobility and other serious problems. The doctors and nurses at the Ascension Wound and Skin Care Clinics will help you heal from all types of skin wounds.

Team of Experts

The Ascension Wound and Skin Care Clinic staff consists of a team of specially trained experts, including board-certified surgeons and certified wound care nurses with more than 30 years of combined experience in wound care.

How can care be accessed?

A physician referral may be required to receive care from the Ascension Wound and Skin Care Clinic. Please consult your health insurance provider or contact the Wound and Skin Care Clinic for more information at (920) 223-1261 (Oshkosh) or (920) 738-2751 (Appleton).

Our Wound Care Clinic offers patients in Oshkosh and the Fox Cities many outpatient treatment options, including a state-of-the-art hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber and Apligraf® technology.

Types of wounds we treat

  • Pressure Ulcers
  • Diabetic Wounds
  • Lower Extremity Ulcers
  • Surgical Wounds
  • Chronic Wounds - wounds that do not show improvement or healing in four weeks.
  • Wounds related to circulatory problems
  • Burns

Ascension Wound and Skin Care Clinic offers Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, a painless procedure that enables patients to breathe 100 percent oxygen under increased atmospheric pressure. The treatment aids the body’s healing process by reducing swelling and increasing the oxygen content in the body’s cells to help damaged tissues heal faster.

Apligraf® is another unique technology available through our Ascension Wound and Skin Care Clinic physicians. Like human skin, Apligraf consists of living skin cells and structural proteins. It is particularly effective in the treatment and healing of certain leg ulcers and diabetic wounds.
