Personal Care Philosophy
"I know how challenging and difficult life can be when a person is in pain. When you hurt, it’s hard to function.
"If you have joint pain, I may be able to help you find pain relief with ultrasound-guided injections, Tenex® tendinosis treatment or one of our other non-surgical, pain-relieving treatments.
"The method I choose depends on your needs, your condition and lifestyle.
"After we have managed the pain, we create a treatment plan that works with your specific body mechanics. Your conditioning program may include exercise, physical therapy and other treatments to prevent the pain from coming back.
"My goal is to get you back to a pain-free life."
The Reason I Chose Medicine
"My interest in medicine started early. I wanted to figure things out after a family member battled with an illness. During college, I followed the pre-med track and went on to become a family medicine physician.
"During my training at the Mayo Clinic, my mentor introduced me to sports medicine. It combines my desire to take care of people with my love of sports.
" Sports medicine applies to people whether they are 18 or 80 years old.
"Many people wonder why they are referred to a sports medicine specialist for joint pain. The specialty began as a way to take care of athletes. However, anyone can suffer from an overuse or traumatic injury. Sports medicine provides the mechanical foundation needed to identify and target joint pain.
"Sports Medicine is simply the field of study that provides me with the knowledge and expertise to treat your pain. Even though I am listed as a sports medicine specialist, you don’t have to be an athlete to work with me – you don’t even have to play sports.
“I work diligently to find the cause of pain in people of all ages whether they are athletic or not."
