Employee Emergency Life Crisis Endowment
At the time of the St. Elizabeth Hospital’s centennial in 1999, the hospital’s employees gathered together to establish this endowment designed to assist employees experiencing life crises who were in need of short-term financial assistance. In 2005, the fund was expanded in scope to serve all Affinity Health System employees. Subsequently, a temporarily restricted fund was created to allow for more flexibility in raising and distributing funds for employees in crisis. The endowment distribution is utilized first each year, with the temporarily restricted fund offering additional assistance.
