Daniel E. Neufelder

Senior Vice President of Hospital Operations, Ministry Health Care

Neufelder, FACHE, is the Senior Vice President of Hospital Operations for all of Ministry Health Care's 15 hospitals across Wisconsin, including the four facilities in Ministry’s Eastern Region – St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, Calumet Medical Center in Chilton, and Ministry Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay.

Neufelder joined Affinity Health System in 2006 as its president and chief executive officer. Since 1979, he has dedicated his career to the health care industry. Under his leadership, Affinity has focused on providing personalized care to its patients and members. The result of this focus has been the substantial growth of the system and outstanding clinical, service, workplace and financial results. 

Affinity is nationally recognized for outstanding quality, service and system integration. Prior to joining Affinity, Neufelder served for 12 years as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. While at Memorial, Neufelder was instrumental in the significant growth of the hospital and its system. Prior to joining Memorial, he served the Community Health Network of Indianapolis for 10 years, with the last four of these years as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Community Hospital East. Prior to Community, he held positions with St. Vincent Hospital and Healthcare System in Indianapolis, and was a health care management consultant and auditor with Ernst & Young.

Neufelder has been active in professional organizations and has served in leadership capacities with the American College of Healthcare Executives where he has achieved Fellow status, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He is the 2013 Chair of the Wisconsin Hospital Association Board of Directors.

Neufelder is the recipient of the 1997 Young Healthcare Executive of the Year Award for Northern Indiana. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a certified public accountant.

Neufelder received his bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Indiana in 1979 and his master's degree in business administration from the University of Indianapolis in 1989. Neufelder and his wife, Jane, live in Neenah, Wisconsin.
