Sister Streitel (1844 - 1910), the nun who started the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother

Sister Laurentia helps a boy. She loved children. She sat by their beds and prayed for them.

The Sisters at St. Mary's Home for the Aged in 1958. Many of these nuns are more than 70 or 80 years old.

Sister M. Capistrana was the boss at the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing from 1941 - 1960. In this picture she is getting an award for being a good nurse. The award is called the 1972 "Nurse of the Year." The woman giving her the award is Doris Koch, the president of the School of Nursing Alumni Association.

In 1997, workers began building a new hospital. Many people came to see it. Sister Lois Bush talks to the people. She was the boss of Ministry Health Care, a company that helped build the hospital.
