Developed by Stanford University, this workshop offers new strategies that will give participants the confidence, motivation and skills needed to manage the challenges of living with a chronic health condition. Some of the topics covered will be symptom management, nutrition management, developing a suitable exercise program, and problem solving and goal setting. No charge.

Leadership Training - Living Well with Chronic Conditions
Living Well with Chronic Conditions Leader Training is designed to train leaders to hold class workshops designed to improve self-management skills for people living with chronic health issues. Conditions like arthritis, heart problems, asthma, stroke, pain, cancer, and more can cause those affected to lose physical conditioning and suffer health problems over many years. This program teaches new strategies that will give participants the confidence, motivation, and skills needed to manage the challenges of living with a chronic health condition.
Developed through the School of Medicine at Stanford University and this workshop covers how to teach participants to deal with their chronic conditions, to continue a normal life and to lessen frustration.

Cross Training for Living Well With Diabetes
Prerequisite: Must be a current leader of Living Well with Chronic Conditions and have diabetes or been involved with the care of someone with diabetes.
This Cross Training workshop is designed to train current Living Well with Chronic Conditions leaders in Stanford's "The Healthy Living with Diabetes Workshop." The program trains current leaders in teaching patients with diabetes how to manage their physical conditions. Those planning to hold diabetes workshops after this training will need to first pay Stanford a license fee to offer the workshop in their organization. License application should be in place before attending this training.
