MENASHA, Wis. – For the fifth consecutive year, Affinity Health System has ranked in the top 50 of 100 Integrated Health Care Networks in the United States.

“We truly believe that better health care begins here at Affinity,” said Kevin Nolan, president and chief executive officer of Affinity Health System. “Receiving this prestigious honor for five consecutive years proves we’re focused on our patients’ experience—successfully integrating technology with access and personalized care. Affinity would not have accomplished this without the dedication and hard work of our 4,300 employees.”

Affinity is 40th in the 2006 ranking, released Feb. 6 by Modern Healthcare. The ninth annual survey—conducted by Verispan, a Pennsylvania-based health care data research firm—surveys 581 U.S. integrated health systems and ranks the top 100 networks. The survey analyzes a health care system’s clinical and financial performance, and measures the degree of integration in several categories including access, contract capabilities, hospital utilization, range of services and technology.

“Our challenge is to build on this success,” Nolan said. “We will continually seek better, more innovative ways to treat our patients.” Nolan added that Affinity is not resting on its laurels. Affinity recently dedicated its newest clinic in Little Chute, featuring electronic patient medical record-keeping and digital X-rays in an environmentally responsible building.
