OSHKOSH, Wis. – Say goodbye to Park Place and the Reading Railroad.
Oshkosh is Game, the City of Oshkosh Property Trading Game is coming to town in May with a whole new board of hot properties. Instead of the traditional streets, board players will be able to buy and sell the deeds to Oshkosh businesses featured on this new game board.
Oshkosh is Game will showcase Oshkosh landmarks and organizations. KATY Consultants, Inc., Manitowoc, and Mercy Health Foundation are teaming up to develop this colorful board game. Sponsorships from area organizations who want to be part of this celebration of Oshkosh are now being sought. All of the streets, deeds, cards and pewter tokens will be customized to represent Oshkosh sponsors.
A portion of all the funds raised through this effort and sales of the custom game will go to the UW Cancer Center, located in the Michael D. Wachtel Cancer Center at Mercy Medical Center, for enhancement of the facility, treatment equipment and services to patients and their families.
The game will be developed and distributed by KATY. FRV Group, Neenah, will produce the game, and CastlePierce, Oshkosh, will print a first run of 3,500 games, which will be available in mid-May and sell for $29.95 each.
