OSHKOSH, Wis. - Affinity Medical Group and Aurora Health Care have formed a partnership to provide cardiology services in the Oshkosh area. Beginning Feb. 1, 2010, Affinity Medical Group cardiologists Issam Al-Bitar, MD, Mamoun Al-Nouri, MD, and Donald Brescia, MD, will also see patients at Aurora Health Center and Aurora Medical Center, both in Oshkosh.

“This is a really exciting collaboration for us,” said Tim Loch, chief operating officer, Affinity Medical Group. “Both health systems have focused on providing the right coverage level for the Oshkosh community. We have built a partnership to ensure that patients in Oshkosh will be provided with the highest quality of cardiac care at Mercy Medical Center and Aurora Heath Care. Our providers have been seeing patients at Mercy Medical Center for many years and are eager to provide care to Aurora’s patients as well.”

“These physicians have an excellent reputation in the Oshkosh community,” said Robert Devermann, MD, vice president of medical operations for Aurora Health Care. “We’re pleased to be able to partner together to ensure the right amount of cardiac services to the community of this size.”

The Affinity cardiologists will work with Aurora’s current cardiac team. Drs. Al-Bitar, Al-Nouri and Brescia join Aurora Health Care current electrophysiologists. This will ensure inpatient coverage around the clock at both hospitals.

The Affinity Medical Group cardiologists will continue to see patients at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
