MENASHA, Wis. - Affinity Medical Group announces today the construction of a new clinic in Neenah, Wis. The new downtown clinic, which will be located at 101 Main St., will replace the current Neenah clinic on Lincoln Street.

"The Lincoln Street clinic has supported the community since 1973, and we look forward to continuing that service with the new facility for many years to come," said Daniel E. Neufelder, president and CEO, Affinity Health System. "It’s important to support the development efforts of downtown Neenah, and we’re excited to be a part of it."

The facility will be a model of convenience with easy access for patients. The same patient care and services will be available as were offered at the Lincoln Street clinic, including family medicine; internal medicine; urgent care; audiology; cardiology; ear, nose and throat; primary care; rehabilitation services and more.

The new clinic will be built around Affinity’s Medical Home model, a team approach to personalized care. Affinity Medical Home is structured to meet individual patient needs with a highly coordinated team working in partnership with the patient.

"We’ve been very busy the last several months coordinating and planning every aspect of this project," said Gary Kusnierz, vice president of performance excellence, Affinity Health System. "We’re thrilled that plans are getting in place to begin the construction process."

Neenah Mayor George Scherck said the Affinity project is yet another example that illustrates Neenah is a great place to do business.

"The new clinic will not only increase our tax base and bring more people to our downtown, but will continue the exciting growth that has kept our downtown vital," Scherck said. "Affinity will better serve its patients in this state-of-the-art facility and the additional flow of people will benefit our existing downtown businesses and potentially attract new businesses, so it is a win-win for all concerned."

"The proposed development demonstrates the strong partnerships that Neenah has been able to foster with the private sector to the benefit of the entire community," said Chris Haese, City of Neenah community development director. "Additionally, the project will continue to build momentum for more development on the balance of the Glatfelter site and will further stabilize downtown Neenah as a great place to live, work and play."

The Neenah Common Council and Community Development Authority have been an integral part of developing the agreement over the past few months and will consider a final draft of the agreement on Monday, July 18. Final action to approve the agreement is schedule to come before the Common Council at its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, July 20.
