APPLETON, Wis. – Nearly $360,000 in grants has been awarded by the St. Elizabeth Hospital Community Foundation.

Of that, more than $250,000 was given to promote the programs and services offered at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Calumet Medical Center in Chilton and Affinity Medical Group clinics in the Fox Cities. Additionally, $105,000 was awarded to nonprofit organizations in the Fox Cities.

“The foundation plays an important role in helping to fund programs, services and capital needs that would otherwise be unavailable to our patients,” said Barbara Stack, executive director of the St. Elizabeth Hospital Community Foundation. “We’re proud to be able to help St. Elizabeth, Calumet Medical Center and Affinity’s Fox Cities clinics thrive.”

  • The “How Does Your Engine Run?” program for children in the adolescent/pediatric behavioral health unit at St. Elizabeth Hospital;

The foundation, through the Wallace Funds, awarded $2,000 in grants to Affinity Health System employees participating in medical mission trips that help the needy in other parts of the world and $5,000 to help underwrite a Physician’s Wellness Symposium.

“Additionally, through the foundation’s separate community endowment fund, we are able to help area nonprofit organizations that assist many of our patients,” Stack said.

Among the 21 Community Endowment grants awarded:

  • ARC Fox Cities, Inc. to fund its Healthy Lifestyles education program;
