OSHKOSH, Wis.- Dr. Thomas Reinardy and Dr. Jeremy Bell, gynecologic specialists for Affinity Health System, are offering a free, educational seminar to demystify pelvic organ prolapse (POP).
POP affects 1 in 2 women who have experienced a vaginal birth, a hysterectomy or obesity. Symptoms include urinary incontinence, pressure or pain in the lower back or abdomen, and a general sense of heaviness. Though common, many women do not discuss their symptoms with a physician because of embarrassment or lack of knowledge about the condition.
The physicians will discuss the symptoms, with a special section about sudden urinary incontinence, and treatment options, including the new minimal invasive treatment Prolift.
The pelvic organ prolapse seminar will take place at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 11 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. To register for this free event, contact Affinity NurseDirect at 1-800-362-9900.
