Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer among men in the United States, other than skin cancer. Almost 20 percent of men will get prostate cancer at some point in their lives, and early detection is the key to successful treatment. Tests and procedures
Affinity's cancer specialists use two main methods to diagnose prostate cancer:
- digital exam
- PSA lab tests
Treatment
Treatment of prostate cancer varies depending on the stage of the cancer and may include:
- surgery
- radiation
- chemotherapy
- TomoTherapy®
- cryotherapy (freezing the prostate gland)
- immunotherapy
- hormone therapy
- combination of treatments
