Affinity Health System has been helping children in Northeast Wisconsin for more than 100 years. Affinity partnered with UW Health in 2001 to bring pediatric specialty care to the Fox Cities and Oshkosh, forming the Affinity/UW Children’s Health Center. We now offer world-class pediatric services, close to home.
Specialty Care Close to Home
The Affinity/UW Children’s Health Center is the only health care provider in the area that offers “big-city” specialty care for children, right in our own communities. The center’s convenient location at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton means parents don’t have to drive back and forth to Madison to get the care their children need. Specialists regularly visit from Madison to see children for diagnosis, check-ups and treatments at the Affinity/UW Children’s Health Center and other Affinity locations. Services and Programs
We offer outpatient and inpatient care for children of all ages. The Affinity/UW Children’s Health Center provides a fun, interactive, child-friendly atmosphere to help make children feel comfortable. Our specialty areas include allergy and asthma, cardiovascular medicine, diabetes, gastroenterology, pediatric surgery, hematology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, pulmonology, urology, plastic surgery and neurosurgery.
Referral information
Children who live in the Fox Valley/Oshkosh area can be referred by any local physician. The Affinity/UW Children's Health Center is a provider for Network Health Plan and accepts most insurance plans.
Some insurance plans require the patient to obtain a written referral from his/her primary care physician prior to seeing a UW Health specialist. It is the policy holder's responsibility to understand the provisions of his or her policy and to obtain a referral, if one is necessary. Patients who are unsure about the provisions of their policy with respect to referrals should contact their insurance company's customer service department.
