Incontinence
Rehabilitation Services plays an integral role in treating incontinence.
For people with bladder or bowel incontinence, we offer treatments to help you regain control and improve your quality of life.
Your team at the Pelvic Floor Health Clinic at St Elizabeth Hospital includes registered nurses and occupational therapists with specialized training in treating bladder and bowel control problems. These experts provide a comphrehensive evaluation of your bladder or bowel problems or pelvic pain and develop a treatment plan to meet your needs. Your treatment may include training in muscular control, sensory awareness, nutrition and toilet habits to greatly reduce or eliminate bladder or bowel accidents and the need for protective pads.
Rehabilitation experts work with physician specialists in internal medicine, urology, gynecology, neurology, physical medicine, gerontology, gastroenterology and pediatrics as needed.
