Lymphedema
Rehabilitation Services plays an integral role in treating lymphedema.
Lymphedema is the swelling of body parts. Causes may include cancer, trauma or infection. Treatment for lymphedema or chronic venous edema may include manual lymph treatment, medical compression bandaging, lymph drainage exercise, pneumatic pumps, self-massage and exercises, as well as patient and family education for skin care, precautions, self-measuring and using compression garments.
