OSHKOSH, Wis. – Dr. John Horan, Affinity Health System orthopaedic surgeon at Mercy Medical Center, will be available Saturday mornings during the football season to see athletes who may have been injured in the Friday night game.
The Affinity Walk-In Sports Injury Clinic will be available from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturdays from Sept. 6 through Oct. 25 at the Mercy Medical Center 500 S. Oakwood Rd. Ste. 220. “Friday nights during the fall mean high school football,” Horan said. “Unfortunately, when athletes are injured, there’s always a dilemma on whether to go to the hospital emergency room or wait until Monday.”
“With our Saturday sports injury clinic, parents can bring their athlete in immediately to get treatment,” Horan said.
The Sports Injury Clinic offers walk-in convenience, injury evaluation, X-ray and immediate treatment, as well as athletic training.
Horan, who is board-certified in orthopaedic medicine, provides general bone and joint care with a special interest in joint replacement, as well as hand and upper extremity injuries and sports-related injuries.
