Mercy Medical Center Volunteer Organization

The Mercy Medical Center Volunteer Organization operates under the umbrella of Mercy Medical Center and is a part of Affinity Health System.  This organization of volunteers is dedicated to the needs of Mercy Medical Center, its patients, visitors and employees. The volunteers assist Mercy Medical Center in promoting the health and welfare of the community and conducts fundraising activities for the services of Mercy Medical Center, community health related programs and local student scholarships. The volunteers raise funds through the Gift Shop and other special events. 

The Mercy Medical Center Volunteer Organization is a member of the Partners of the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA).  Partners provide a forum for exchanging information about the current hospital environment and how other hospitals are structuring their volunteer programs.  They also exchange information about fundraising ideas.  The WHA is a political health care lobbying force in Madison.  The organization offers opportunities for leadership.  Committees work on various projects ranging from health education and public policy to chairing fundraisers.
