Teen Pregnancy

Expectant teens get the care they need through our Women & Families Center.

Bringing a new life into the world is a challenge at any age, but pregnant teens face extra pressures and challenges. Affinity’s Teen Pregnancy program helps pregnant teens in Northeast Wisconsin prepare for the road ahead in a supportive, caring environment.

The Affinity Teen Pregnancy program is one of the best resources for pregnant teens in Northeast Wisconsin. Our knowledgeable registered nurses and staff help teens understand the physical, social and emotional changes of pregnancy. We help them have the best possible pregnancy experience.

What does the program teach?

Affinity’s Teen Pregnancy program teaches pregnant teens and their families what to expect during pregnancy, how to prepare for labor and delivery and how to care for infants. Teens will learn what they can do to help ensure a positive birth experience and a healthy baby.

During the program, teens work with the people they have chosen to accompany them during labor and birth. Participants receive information about the responsibilities of being a good parent and other life skills—nutrition, exercise, lifestyle choices, legal issues and more.

Objective, Nonbiased Support

The Teen Pregnancy program at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton offer support to teens in an objective, open-minded way. The classes are a place for teens to learn and interact with other pregnant teens in similar situations. Many teens tell us it’s a place they can just be themselves, without feeling self-conscious or worrying about negative looks or comments.
