After completing his medical training in India and England, Dr. Paul came to the United States to continue his education in neurosurgery. In 1986, after he finished a two-year fellowship at the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medicine, Shock and Trauma Unit, at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, he moved to the Fox Valley to begin his practice.
Dr. Kamaljit S. Paul specializes in disorders of the brain and spine. Dr. Paul is one of the few Wisconsin doctors qualified to perform Vagus Nerve Stimulation for treating epileptic seizures, Deep Brain Stimulation for treating tremors, Subthalamic Nucleus Stimulation to control Parkinson's disease, and Artificial Disk Replacement for degenerative disk disease. Dr. Paul also performs the new minimally invasive surgery (MIS) to perform lumbar fusion using percutaneous pedicle screws, complex spinal surgery, spinal fusion, and hydrocephalus. Furthermore, Dr. Paul holds twenty patents for the invention of various surgical devices.
